We’re looking for someone to join our team as account director and deliver incredible results. Whether it’s traditional OOH, DOOH or experiential, you’ll be working directly with clients at the forefront of a company dedicated to changing the OOH industry.

As a Billups account director, you’ll be part of a team that’s delivering innovative planning, direction and oversight for out-of-home executions. You’ll be tasked with not just planning, but helping to create targeted, researched OOH strategies using modern tools. You’ll work directly with clients to nurture long-term relationships as their partner, helping them with strategy, planning, purchasing and sometimes pitching OOH options to their client. And as part of Billups, you’ll be on the cutting-edge of innovation as an early user of Boohma, a revolutionary planning software from our sister company Boohma Technologies.

Basic Job Criteria

  • Aggressive, mature advocate for the media function
  • Trusted advisor to clients and accounts
  • Integrate and collaborate with departments and teams for growth and understanding
  • Communicating and setting client projects, requests and expectations
  • Writes strategic media collateral that provide a business solution for clients
  • Partnering with planning and buying teams to ensure client and strategic needs are met



Client Role

  • Main client contact
  • Strategic guidance and team lead
  • Direct leadership of key account assignments
  • Ensuring quality deliverables and direction
  • Provides direction to the team on client goals and objectives
  • Fiscally responsible for client media budgets

Planning / Buying 

  • Strategic sounding board, contribution and participation in plan development
  • Sets strategic direction that tracks to client goals and objectives
  • Oversees collaborative efforts across functions and departments
  • Responsible for composition of media strategy for assigned clients

Idea Generation

  • Proactively anticipate issues / problems; assist and challenges group to creatively identify solutions and facilitate dialogue
  • Provides broad perspective and actively pursues ideas to drive client business
  • Seeks opportunities for client growth


  • Maintains strong relationships internally and externally
  • Demonstrates outstanding oral and written communication skills



  • 8+ years experience in media planning and development
  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising, Marketing or related media field
  • Knowledge of media planning across all forms of media and industry
  • Experience in hiring, managing and leading a team
  • Agency experience preferred
  • Proven ability to create and implement excellent media product on various assignments
  • Demonstrates a focused and strategic approach in plan development and integration
  • Strong and confident negotiating and presentation skills; shows forward thinking and anticipating client needs
  • Capable of interacting and building relationships with team and departments of all levels and industry backgrounds, from the CEO to administrative support staff
  • Knowledge of all media vehicles and ad platforms with emphasis on positive and negative attributes and how they apply to various marketing situations
  • Flexible and effective problem solver
  • Extensive experience with media planning and buying as well as media research tools
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all functions and departments
  • Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal, presentation and relationship skills; proficient use and understanding of the English language
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Keynote is preferred
  • Independent and self-motivated, yet also team-oriented
  • Must be organized with ability to multi-task and excel in a fast moving culture
