Overview
Norwell and Cosette Media partnered with us to advertise Rhinaris, their dry nose solution, during the summer season. During this period, dry nose symptoms typically occur when air quality significantly deteriorates. To ensure high relevance and efficiency without using generic visuals, the campaign objective was to present the product strictly when air quality was poor, spending every dollar at the right moment.
Campaign Highlights
Custom API Weather & Air Quality Sync: Built and integrated a custom real-time API to sync campaign execution with environmental air quality data on a 0–5 index scale.
Conditional Trigger Logic (100% Zero-Waste Spend): Programmed strict delivery parameters requiring an Air Quality Index threshold of 4/5 or higher to activate, ensuring zero ad spend during normal conditions (0 impressions delivered across the first 8 days).
Instant Dynamic Responsiveness: Automated real-time deployment that launched within hours of environmental shifts and immediately paused delivery once air quality normalized, proving the precision of programmatic trigger targeting over traditional OOH.
The Challenge
During the summer, noses generally become dry only when the air quality becomes significantly poor. Traditional media solutions do not offer a trigger-only campaign structure, risking wasted spend during times when environmental conditions do not align with product relevance. The challenge was to remain completely dark during normal conditions while being ready to deploy immediately when air quality dropped.
The Solution
Programmatic execution provided the necessary flexibility for a trigger-only campaign. A custom API was integrated to synchronize the campaign's weather trigger with real-time air quality data using a scale of 0 to 5. The campaign rules were strictly set to activate only when the air quality index reached a minimum threshold of 4/5 and above.

Planning & Execution
During the first 8 days of the campaign, air quality remained normal, resulting in 0 impressions delivered. Between July 13th and July 14th, wildfires began, directly lowering the air quality and raising the pollution index past the 4/5 threshold. The programmatic system automatically triggered ad delivery to maximize contextual relevance at the exact moment parameters were met.

The Results
The campaign demonstrated the advanced technical capability of programmatic trigger targeting. By strictly automating delivery based on live data feeds, the system remained dark for 8 days of normal conditions, dynamically deployed for a 6-day burst during high pollution levels (delivering 4,482,471 impressions), and instantly halted once conditions cleared. This validated that external data triggers can eliminate media waste and deliver immediate, automated contextual relevance.
